How does the HSC V-12 Supercharger work? To get more power from any engine, the object is to get more oxygen and fuel into the combusion chamber. A supercharger is a mechanically driven device that feeds high density air to an engine. In the HSC V-12 system, outside air is drawn through the carburetor and mixed with fuel. As the air passes through the supercharger, it is compressed, increasing its density (oxygen content). The high density air carries a richer, more potent, fuel and oxygen mixture to the combustion chamber. More oxygen, more fuel, more horsepower! |
